Women's Weekend 2007

Once a year the Farmer women try to get together for our annual Women's Weekend. We had to skip last year since we all had small babies, but we were back at it again last weekend. Everyone actually came to Pocatello this year, and we had a fun time. Mom brought Cody, Amber and Brittany, so Claire had a playmate, and we all had a babysitter - thank you Amber. On Friday we got to attend a session at the temple and get a little shopping in. Cody needed a few more maternity clothes. You start showing very quick when number 5 is on the way. Then we had a fun card making night. Saturday we got to attend Time Out for Women, which was wonderful. You laugh and cry, but come out feeling really good about yourself. Finally on Sunday we relaxed a little bit and just enjoyed each others company.Claire and Brittany enjoying a movie.

Favorite Things

There are a few things that our kids like around our house, here are a few. This dog, yes with a pink bow, is Owen's favorite toy. He will carry this thing everywhere. I'm not quite sure how he discovered it, but he loves it. I promise I have many boy appropriate stuffed animals around the house, but he has taken to doggie, as we call it. He loves to sit and give his doggie hugs and kisses. We have had to wash doggie quite a few times already.

Claire discovered one day that at the very bottom of her princess trunk was a pair of earrings (clip on of course). She wore these things all day! She even had me do her hair all up so people could see them. She went to the library, park and store with them on. She definetly felt like a princess.

The Zoo

This summer we decided to get a season pass to the Pocatello Zoo. It is not the biggest zoo, but the kids just like to go and see the animals. It is a nice break from the park too. They have a class for kids each Tuesday, and Claire loves to go and hear stories about animals. Owen just likes to see any animal. He is becoming very good at his animal sounds. Claire petting a baby rabbit after a class.

Claire with her friends Kylan and Alex looking at the cougars. They were having their lunch, and the kids thought it was great. Although I think they just liked hanging on the bars.

Caribbean Cruise

In March, yes it was awhile ago, my parents took Chad and I on a Caribbean cruise!!! It was so much fun. People have been asking for some pictures, so I thought I would share a few. We had so much fun!! We can hardly wait for the next cruise. Thanks mom and dad. To the left is a picture of us at Walt Disney World. We went a day early and got to spend a fun filled day, without children, at the Magic Kingdom. It was a blast. Chad has never been to Disneyland, so he was amazed by all the different lands.

Our first stop on the cruise was Nassau, Bahamas. We stopped on a Sunday so we decided not to get into the water. Instead we rented scooters (picture on the left). It was so fun. I thought my mom was going to break my dad's arm because she got nervous quite a bit. We decided next time that the girls need their own scooter.

We stopped in St. Thomas next. Chad got to go snorkeling for the first time. We took a little boat out to the only underwater national park. The water was beautiful.

Our last stop was St. Maarten, where we spent a day on the beach. I love this boogey boarding picture of Chad because it makes me think of James Bond or something. I have to say that I miss the sun.

We had two formal nights on the cruise. It was so nice to dress up for dinner, and know that I might come home clean. You know no spills, or kid smears all over myself. It was such a relaxing time. Chad especially enjoyed the all you could eat pizza and ice cream 24/7. We would recommend a cruise to anyone. Does anyone want to go with us in a couple of years? I promise that after about 10 minutes, you won't miss your kids. We didn't!
