Roommate Reunion

After moving to Pocatello, I slowly found out that most of my old roommates (or nearly roommates) from Idaho State all live fairly close by. OK, really close, most of them still live in Pocatello, except a few. Last night we all got together and reminisced a little bit. It was fun to meet their kids, and a few husbands (most opted not to come). We had a great time and I can't wait to see everyone again. Potato Harvest

On Saturday, Chad's dad started potato harvest. All the Claysons came to help, including the little ones. Owen loved riding in the tractor, and driving it too. Claire wasn't to sure about it, so she spent most of her time picking up leftover potatoes with grandma. I think Owen will be a big help one day during harvest time. We had a fun day, and look forward to helping out the rest of this week. Owen especially can't wait for another ride in the tractor. New Jammies

Claire was so happy with her new princess jammies, that we had to take her picture. She found them in the store, and carried them around the whole time, along with her new princess jacket. I try to buy other things, but it is almost not worth it! Owen wasn't so fond of his new jammies, but he did say "cheese," after the picture was taken. It is so much fun to see how they are becoming good friends

Dance Class

Claire started dance lessons this week. It was so funny. It took me half the class to convince her that she could leave my side. We drove there, and she jumped out of the car and said, "Bye mom, I'm going to dance class." But, as soon as we got in there, she wanted to go home. I couldn't even bribe her enough. After I made her go do something, she stayed for the duration. Her favorite part was watching herself in the mirror during tumbling practice. I couldn't help but laugh. I hope she starts to listen soon. Doing her favorite thing, watching herself in the mirror.
Gotta love the tummy. She finally decided that it would be OK to stay and dance.

1. stretch pants (yes I know their back in, but I've had two kids!)

Preschool

I started teaching preschool last week, and I love it. I only work about 9 hours a week, and it is working out great for my family. I teach 16 kids and am trying to figure out exactly what to do with 12 3 year olds. We are getting it though. I promise I will take pictures of my classroom soon! I hope everyone else is enjoying having their kids in school as well. Of course I forgot to take a picture of Claire on her first day of preschool, but I will be better!

Doggie PJ's

Owen still carries doggie wherever he goes, so when I was shopping a couple of weeks ago, I found these pajamas, and I couldn't resist. He thought they were so great.

He couldn't quite figure out how to hold onto these doggies while they were on his feet.

Peachy Keen

We have a peach tree in our backyard, and the peaches are finally getting ripe. I picked one and Owen wanted a "bee." For those of you who don't speak Owen, that means bite. He sat in his swing and ate the whole peach. He loved it. Claire then had to pick her own peach off the tree, and she sat on her swing and ate a peach. I just had to take pictures because they were enjoying it so much.

Easter Idaho State Fair, 2007

Last week we took the kids to the fair in Blackfoot. Claire was so excited! We had our first experience with taking 3 kids places. I was watching my friend Angie's little girl while she had surgery, so we looked like we had twins and Claire. Claire loved going to the fair. She was so excited. Her favorite part was seeing the cows, and riding the choo choo train. We had so much fun, and can't wait to go again next year.

We love Aunt Shana

We love Aunt Shana! On Labor Day, Shana came down and took my kids, while Chad and Uncle Trevor went out to look for some wood to cut. Shana told me she was just taking the kids to the park, so I could get all of my preschool stuff finished. By the time I looked up, it was nearly 2 hours, and they hadn't come home. I was impressed that she could stay at the park that long. An hour is usually my max limit. They were gone for 3 1/2 hours! I wasn't worried, because I knew they were having fun with Aunt Shana. Of course, she took them to other places besides the park. They went to the park, McDonalds for lunch, the pet store, and then to Wal-Mart to get a new toy! I don't think they will ever want to hang out with me again! Thanks for a fun time Aunt Shana! Here are some pictures she took of the kids while they were at the park. It sure looks like they were having fun!

Girl's Weekend

The first weekend in September, all 7 Clayson girls got together for a girls weekend. Chad had the pleasure of watching the kids. I think out of all the men, he was the only one that had to watch the kids all by himself. One of the drawbacks to having my family live so far away. I honestly can't say that I was to sad to have a night and day off. On Friday we left for Utah and stayed at Stacey's house (Chad's sister), then on Saturday we went shopping. We had a lot of fun. We went to IKEA - which I love- and just had fun looking at everything. I found a few things that I might have to get for the preschool. We just had a great time being together, and enjoying our time. It is sure nice to not have to unbuckle a carseat when you want to go into a store. Thanks for the fun time ladies!

Shana was a hot commodity with Stacey's kids. Colton wanted to sleep in the room that Shana slept in. He had the tent already set up. Needless to say, Shana had to go to bed earlier than the rest of us so Colton would go to sleep.
