Halloween

We had a wonderful Halloween as usual. The kids were so excited. Up until a few days before Halloween, Owen was going to be Spiderman, but I just hated the mask. He borrowed the costume from his cousin, so I wasn't out anything. So, off we went to the K-Mart where costumes were already 50 percent off, and wallah - we now had a knight! He decided that he was going to kill the dragons for the princess, but "only little dragons." Apparently I have a pretty smart boy to think that one through!

Claire was Sleeping Beauty as she had wanted for quite awhile. I would love to take all the credit for her dress, but I can only claim doing a few things on it. My friend Jodi and I were sharing the pattern, so I cut mine out, and then got sick. Since it was at her house, she was so kind and finished most of the dress for me. I did make the crown, hem it, and make the thing that goes across the shoulders, so I can take about 1/5 of the credit. Regardless Claire was so happy - thanks Jodi you saved me!

Grant was our little superhero. He was nice and cozy, and really could have cared less about Halloween. He was happy to get a special treat from Grandma Farmer, but didn't know what it was for. In fact after the trunk or treat, we went and got a pizza, and then Grant stayed home with Chad while I took the kids around trick or treating. We made it about 3 blocks, and Owen was ready to go. We live in a neighborhood with a lot of older people, and they don't get a lot of trick or treaters, so my kids got a ton of candy anyways, and it was good candy. Chad has been enjoying himself!

Clayson Family Halloween Party

We had our annual Clayson Family Halloween party once again this year. As always, there was the annual pumpkin weigh in, our garden did terrible this year, so we didn't even enter the contest. I think Jason won with a pumpkin well over 100 pounds. We would have never been able to compete!! We had a wonderful dinner, and then the carving began. As usual the power tools came out, and the guys had a great time. Most of the moms just sat on the couch as 3 out of the 5 of us there are pregnant and not feeling to well. The kids had a great time, and were so excited to show off their completed pumpkins. Grant enjoyed the sweets that he got to eat, and watching everyone finish their pumpkins. We can't wait till next year!

Play Time!

I hate when the weather goes from warm straight to cold, and that is what happened this year. We went from playing at the park to being stuck inside all the time. So, that must mean one thing, time to play on the mall toys. Grant discovered them this year, and loves to go and play there. He can crawl around, and go through the tunnels. It is a nice break during the day, and we are so glad there is something to do in the winter.

Sunday Afternoon

My Grandma Bock gave me this keyboard the last time we were in California. I didn't get it out because I forgot the stand with my parents, and didn't want the kids playing with it. Well, one Sunday afternoon we needed an activity. Out came the keyboard, and the fun began. Claire quickly discovered that there are songs on it, that all she has to do is push a button. Grant loved the instant music, and was dancing up a storm. Owen joined in on the fun later, but it was a great Sunday afternoon just watching them have a great time.

A Visit from the Turgoose's

Our good friends the Turgooses decided they needed to move to Boise last May, and we have missed them a ton. Luckily they are an easy pit stop for us on our way to my parent's house. They came to visit us in October. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling the greatest, but I did get this cute picture of Grant and Abbie in the bath together. Grant was thrilled to have someone his size take a bath with him. We had a lot of fun having you guys, and we hope you can come visit us again soon!
