Spring Time Fun!

Hello Everyone!

I think we finally figured this blogging thing out. I made it my New Year's Resolution to start a blog, and I tried in January, but it didn't really get very far before I decided I didn't like the program I was using. Hopefully this one will be better. Things in the Clayson household are crazy but normal - all you moms know what I mean. We are keeping busy and loving the nice warm weather. Here are a few things we have been doing.

Owen's First Birthday
If you can believe it, our little guy is one. He loved having some friends and family around on his big day. Claire of course thought she should open all of his presents, but he didn't really care. He was just very happy with the cake.

Owen enjoying his first very own chocolate cake. Aren't those rolls adorable!!
Claire's Third Birthday
Although it was in March, Claire turned 3 this year! She is a happy energetic kid who loves school (preschool), riding her bike, and her favorite past time, picking on her brother. Although, he is starting to put up a fight. She keeps us on our toes, and is constantly doing something. It's only when it is quiet that I worry, but most of the time she is just putting her babies down for a nap.
Claire wanted a Lightning McQueen cake for her birthday. Once we were finished with it Claire finished it off for us. I couldn't get the black color off of her hands for a few days.
Swimming
Yes, we love the warm weather. Claire thinks this pool is great - Owen is not so sure about it. He would rather walk around outside than inside the pool. It is a nice way to cool down on warm days. I think Claire would put on her swimsuit first thing in the morning if I would let her.
Doesn't he look excited!!!

Yard Work!!
Yes, it is that time of year, and it seems like all we do is work in the yard. We have been trying to clean up our yard, and make it look better than last year. The kids love to help in their own ways.
Owen helps by eating the dirt clumps lying around.

Claire (Princess Claire) wanted to help vacuum (aka mow the lawn) with her dad. She was having a great time, I'm not sure that her dad needed much help though.
