Shoe Fetish

We have a problem, Ava has a shoe fetish.  All of my kids have gone through the phase of wanting to walk around in other peoples shoes, but Ava has taken it to the extreme.  She will bring you shoes, and will not calm down until they are on her feet.  This was a particularly hard pair to put on with her feety pajamas, but chad came through.  Needless to say, she is very please with herself.

My Little Bengals

 

The other night I was working a basketball game at the Holt Arena, they were giving out these hats.  I really didn't enjoy seeing grown adults wearing them, but on my kids they are dang cute.  As soon as they put them on I had 4 tigers of my own.  Even Ava knew what sound she should make. 

Mischief

Isn't this girl cute!!  She is becoming very mischievous.  She has learned that if she moves a chair, she can get anything, including all the Christmas candy I stayed in this bin.  I have to give her credit.  She even figured out that some of the candy was a necklace.

Construction

Once we got home from White Bird we had a mass opening of Christmas presents.  The kids were very excited because Chad had come home before us, and taken most of the presents with him.  We didn't want them to get lost in all the chaos.  The kids spent most of the morning opening the packages, and playing.  Owen got a hot wheels track that goes right on the wall.  I thought it was so funny to watch Chad trying to figure it out.  I think the instructions are taller than he was.  They figured it out, and the boys had so much fun playing with it.

Gingerbread Houses

I realize this is posted after Christmas but that is when we finally got to our Gingerbread houses.  With all the craziness before Christmas we just didn't have time.  The kids had fun, but it was such a mess!!  We were cleaning candy up for days.  They also didn't seem to want to stand up for very long.  Let's just say that I threw them away the next day but the kids had a lot of fun for about 20 minutes.

Fun With Cousins

The kids loved playing with their cousins.  Ava got very comfortable with them, and finally left my side after about 4 days.  They loved playing with all their new toys and being together.  It makes so happy that they get along so well.

Happy 20th Aunt Amber

Amber celebrated her 20th Birthday on the 27th. All of the girls surprised her and took her out to lunch in Grangeville.  We went to the fanciest place we could find.    She was feeling a little sad that none of her friends were there, so we took her out instead. The cake is of course her favorite - grasshopper pie. Miraculously it didn't melt with all of those candles.  We love you Amber!!
