There really isn't any point in hiding this anymore. As I sit here tired, thirsty, and wishing I could actually throw up, I thought I would let you in on our family secret. We are expecting baby number 4 in May. Yes, we are crazy, but it is great timing for us as preschool will just be finishing up for the year, and I will have 3 months with the baby before going back to work. Everyone around here is very excited, and Claire is sure that it is a girl because, "We already have lots of boys!" So here's hoping for her because I would love to reuse all my cute girl clothes.

Bladen's Baptism
We were so glad to be able to attend Bladen's baptism. We are so proud of him. I got asked at the last minute to give a talk because Bladen's other Grandpa got the flu, so I gave a short and sweet talk on the Holy Ghost. It was great to be there, and so nice for the kids to have their Grandparent's and Great Grandparent's there. We had a great time! Roy and Bladen

Hunting 2009
Last weekend we drove to my parents house for 3 specific activities, hunting, a baptism and a baby blessing. It worked out great that we could do all three at once, and we had a great time. Chad did a great job hunting. My parents have a ton of deer around their house, so in the morning the men plus Amber went out back, and shot their guns a few times, and they all missed! But, they successfully scared the deer away. In Chad's defense, he didn't shoot because he wasn't ready when they all started going at it. We did find out later that my Grandpa Bock hit one, so they did have the first deer of the day. Later on, Chad went on our a 4-wheeler ride, and got his deer. Between the dust on his glasses and scope, we are lucky that he got it. Then later on my dad shot another one off the porch. That was plenty of work for those tired hunters for one day. They still have another tag to fill, but it won't take long. Chad was happy with his deer, and it was the first time he had shot anything with his new gun. Owen wasn't to sure about seeing the "reindeer," yes, we have ruined Christmas for everyone, but once he got out there he helped his dad, and was really intrigued with the whole thing. Princess Claire wouldn't have anything to do with the deer, so she got charted around on her chariot all day!

Chad and his shadow!
Owen absolutely loves his dad! His favorite thing to do with him is put the wood away. One Saturday morning he asked where his dad was, and I told him he was getting wood. Owen wouldn't do anything all morning because he had to be ready to help his dad put the wood away. He repeats everything Chad says, and follows him around the house. One day Chad was changing the oil in his pick-up, and Owen came out with his play tools to help him. He can't wait for him to get home every night, and loves wrestling with his dad the most. It is so great to see that Owen looks up to someone who will always be there for him, and is a good role model.

It's Cold Outside!
I hate cold weather! This year it just came. One day we were in shorts, the next day I was scrambling to find winter coats for everyone because it had snowed - yes crazy!!! My kids never got to have the go outside in sweater weather, so we have already made a couple of trips to the mall play area. Can we say the greatest place ever! Claire is getting a little to old, but she still loves to go there, and Owen and Grant have a great time. I actually remembered my camera, so I got a few shots of them having fun.

School, school, school!
Life in the Clayson household basically runs around school now. I can't believe how hard it is to have half day Kindergarten. It just ruins my whole day! Claire however loves it, and is doing well. Owen still loves preschool, and amazes me every day with what he knows. He is so easy to teach, and so much fun. Owen is always so proud of his school work. He loved making this caterpillar for the letter C with circles, and was so happy to show it off.
I don't know if you can tell, but this says,"I like Bryson." I thought it was so sweet because he is her friend that moved away, but she still loves Bryson. This was also the first time I had seen a sentence she had written all by herself. What is there secret? I can't get her to write her name!
These are pictures that Claire drew of Chad and I. All of her drawing are of princesses, but luckily her dad didn't have a dress on.
