First Kiss

Seriously I tried not to laugh, but I just couldn't help it. At the beginning of the year Claire complained, and complained about this boy who sat behind her - Elijah. Well, I talked with the teacher, and apparently he has a lot of problems, but we still told Claire that she needed to be nice and get along with him. Well, she took our advice to heart because the other day she came home and told me that she kissed him. I was a little shocked, but was happy to find out that she just kissed him on the cheek, "because he wanted her too." Peer pressure!! I asked her if she liked him, and she said, "yes!" Boy are we in trouble. Chad was a lot better at handling the situation than I was, I laughed, and he just had a good talk to her about not doing that. I can't believe how young it starts. Regardless I guess you could say that Claire had her first kiss.

Pizza Night

So my kids have decided that anytime I make pizza, they get to eat it downstairs and watch a movie. We did this once when I was working so much during football season, and I decided we needed a family night during the week. Apparently they loved it. Once they saw me getting the pizza ready, they went downstairs, cleaned everything, put down a blanket (not that I care to much about the carpet right now), and then proceeded to come upstairs and be sooo helpful. It was actually a nice change. They loved eating downstairs, and watching a movie with mom and dad. This time we choose Madagascar 2 because I had only seen a little bit of it, Chad hadn't seen any. I think we enjoyed the movie more than them. I guess this is our new tradition, which I don't mind because we had lots of fun.

Grant - 16 Months

My little man is 16 months old, and is getting the funniest personality. He absolutely loves the dishwasher, and will hand me all of the dishes out of it weather they are clean or not. He has become quite useful because he will hand the kids each piece of silverware. They think it is a game, but it is in fact a chore they don't know they are doing. He still refueses to walk, which is driving me CRAZY!!! I think he would be much happier if he would just take a chance. He can stand up on his own, and walk quickly around furniture, but the minute you let go of his hands, he starts crawling. He has learned to hold his own around Claire and Owen, and will let them know when they are bugging him. He still loves animals, but has moved onto The Wiggles. Anytime you say Wiggles he starts dancing and grinning. I love how easy they are to please. He absolutely loves to climb on anything he can. His newest find is the smaller chairs in the kids room. I will find him in the rocking chair just sitting there, so proud of himself. He is finally sleeping well, which makes me very happy, and loves his nap every day. We are so grateful to have him in our home.

I finally gave him a real haircut. His hair was starting to look like a mullet. I really didn't want to cut off his cute curls, but it was time. His hair is still wavey, and he looks so much older. I only cried a little bit after I cut his hair, but I hope the curls haven't dissappeared.

Sledding

We were able to go sledding for Annie's birthday. The snow had melted a bit, but there was still plenty. The kids had a great time. They loved being pulled by the four wheeler, and enjoyed all being on one sled. I enjoyed myself by watching from inside, but it was fun to see them having so much fun. We didn't attempt to take Grant out, but maybe soon we will test him out in the cold.

Baby Clayson

We had our ultrasound, and I am happy to say that everything looks great with baby Clayson. Once again we didn't find out what we are having, so your guess is as good as mine. People keep asking me if I have any idea what it is, and I honestly have no clue. So now begins the process of making our list of names so we have something to work with at the hospital.

Were Home!

The Claysons are happy to report that we are finally home. We figured that we traveled almost 39 hours in the car, and covered over 2,300 miles. We never drove the same road once so we were in Idaho, Nevada, California, Arizona and Utah. We were so ready to come home, but had a fantastic time at Grandma GG's and in Disneyland. The kids were completely exhausted, and mom and dad were soooo ready to sleep in their own bed. I have a ton of pictures to sort through, so I will fill you in on all the fun details of our trip soon.

Disney Characters

By far my favorite part of our trip to Disneyland was for the kids to get to meet the different characters. I really wanted Claire to meet some princesses, and was so glad to see that they have a new place where you wait in line and can meet 3 princesses. We got there just as they were changing so Claire got to meet 4. She was very happy. They were very gracious, and so sweet to the kids. They would talk to them, and make them feel so special. Owen was thrilled to meet Mickey Mouse, and Winnie the Pooh. I just love that my kids totally believe that these are the real things. It makes me wish I could be young again, and the smiles on their faces were worth the sore feet, the long lines, and the over priced food. I would do it all again just to make their dreams come true.
