Happy 2nd Birthday Grant!!

My little Grant turned 2!! He was so happy with his Toy Story cake. I had so much fun making it. My parents ended up being in town, so my mom helped me make his cake. We made homemade marshmallow fondant, and then colored each tier different things. One is Woody's shirt, the other is Andy's bed, and the last is the Earth for Buzz. We had a little party with a few family members and Grandparents. He got a car ramp toy (I'm not sure how to explain it), but he loves the one in Nursery so we decided that would be the perfect gift.

A few things about Grant. He is still not talking, which is driving Chad and I crazy. He has started hitting me when he wants something. He has started saying a few things, and he will talk through his throat with the syllables of things. I am ready for him to start talking. He loves, loves, loves Toy Story. My friend that watches him once a week has all her movies down low, and Grant always walks into that room and grabs a Toy Story movie for her to turn on. He calls everyone he likes Emma (basically the people who watch him for me while I'm working). Emma has watched him since he was a baby a couple times a week, so if he calls you Emma that is a good thing. He is a very happy kid, but is definetly two, and wants things on his own time. He loves to be outside. He is still taking a 2 to 3 hour nap each day, and if he doesn't get it, it is miserable around here. He is sleeping in the bunk bed, but still has to have his special crocheted blanket with him. He loves to put his fingers in the holes. He loves his little sister, and whenever he sees her he say "hi pretty girl," at least that is what it sounds like. He has hated nursery for forever, but is finally going. It is a big relief for his mom. He loves to sing, and especially loves Old McDonald. You can hear him many different times a day singing EIEIO. It is especially lovely during Sacrament Meeting. Happy Birthday Grantie!! We love you!
