Try it!!

I thought I should share this website with everyone. It will seriously test your geography knowledge (Tania remember our class in college? Needless to say I didn't do that well!) My dad was here this weekend, and played it forever, and he got to level 10 (I won't tell you where I got). Try it, it will keep you thinking!!
Thanks for the fun Trev.

OK, so I can't figure out how to make it a link - I will work on that.

Happy Sick Thoughts

OK, so I don't like this whole sick thing. It is driving me crazy, I have to much to do to be sick, so I have thought of some good things about not feeling well and thought I would share them with one and all. I figure I might as well make like of a bad situation. So, here goes:
1. I might actually lose weight at the beginning of this pregnancy.
2. My husband will start to like rice (that is about all that sounds good to me!)
3. Smaller appetite, smaller stomach (lets hope it stays!)
4. I get lots of help with the housework.
5. I get to eat every 2 hours (not really a plus, but if you like to eat it is!)
6. Sweet things no longer have my attention.
FINALLY:::
7. Claire now thinks that if her tummy hurts, she needs to go to bed!!!

A Day Without Claire

Thanks to my mother-in-law today Owen and I had a day almost to ourselves. I thought I wouldn't have any kids because all of the kids that I watch have mom's that are teachers. However one works in a different school district. He is my favorite, so it wasn't to bad. Claire got to stay the night with her Grandpa and Grandma Clayson, and play all day. Owen asked for her quite a few times, but he did great. He loved playing in her house when she was gone - he spent a lot of time in there. It was so nice because during quiet time today I actually got a nap, which helps so much!! Thanks so much mom!! Along with watching Claire all day she brought us dinner - Claire ate 3 bowls of soup - it was a hit!!

Owen cheesin it up in Claire's house.

Great Idea

I would have never thought that this would be a hit, but it was, and so easy!! I found idea that said to let kids paint in snow. Well, I tried it in preschool, and the kids loved it!! Just let them use water colors, and a little bit of snow. Some of them painted, some of them stirred in colors, others just kept getting more snow, but it is easy clean-up and easy!! With all of this snow we have it is a great activity to keep them busy!

News

I suppose it is time for an update. We have been trying to calm down since the holidays, and catch up on our normal life. It is hard to get back into the swing of things. Of course, Claire, Owen and I came down with the stomach flu on our first normal week, so we didn't get back to normal for awhile. We have now had 3 weeks of preschool, and I am ready for another weekend!!!

Claire is Miss Independent, and is constantly changing her clothes! No kidding I end up doing twice as much laundry because she has worn her previous clothes just long enough that they are dirty, but not long enough!! It is fun to watch her grow up.

Owen is as busy as ever. At Christmas time my sister gave me the Hairspray soundtrack, so we have been listening to it constantly, and Owen loves to sing the "Welcome to the 60's" song. You are greeted with a ohohohoh often around our house.

I got a new calling. At first I thought they were taking me out of Young Women's and I was so bummed, but I got made the first counselor (thanks Daniel for moving). I still get to work with the same girls, so I am excited!! We just took the youth to the Rexburg Temple Open House (I forgot my camera - I am an airhead lately!), and it was a great time. I'm not sure seeing the YM at Chuck-A-Rama eat was the highlight, but we had fun.

The other big news (and the cause of my airheadedness (I know that isn't a word)). We are expecting number 3 in September. We don't usually tell people this early, but I am not kidding - I am already starting to show. I can still fit into my clothes, but barely - what is going on!!! I already told Chad that I get a new maternity wardrobe since I have never been through a summer pregnant (can't wait!!). And, I'm not complaining to loudly, but I don't usually get sick, and of course this time with everything I have going on I am sick, and literally need a two hour nap each day to cope. I'm not a great evening mom anymore! This too will pass, and Chad will be very happy!

SOOOO BIG!

My baby is growing up! Today was Claire's first day of Sunbeams. I can hardly believe how quickly time has gone by. She is learning more every day, and surprises me each day. I just love this kid so much! She wasn't feeling very well last night, so I didn't think that she would make it to her new class, but she was determined to go to church. By the time I picked her up, she wasn't feeling well again, but she said she had fun. Here are the top 5 things I love about Claire! (I wish I had taken a picture of her in her church dress, but I wasn't that organized this morning!)
1. She loves to cuddle (as long as she has her thumb and a lap, she is happy!)
2. She tries to be nice to her brother (it doesn't always work out so well, but she is getting better!).
3. She loves to help me cook.
4. She loves skirts and pink - what a girl!
5. She makes me feel like a great mom, especially when I'm have a bad day!

Happy 16th Birthday Amber!

Believe it or not, but my little sister is 16. Yes, it is crazy! We celebrated the day by going to Zim's Hot Springs near my parents house, and then having cake and ice cream at home. Swimming was fun, but very cold. Claire didn't like it because it wasn't the kind of swimming she wanted. It was a funny conversation discussing that with her. "Mom, where are all the toys?" "They don't have them here." "I want to get out, I don't like it!" That was about the end. She had her mind made up. 3 year olds can sure be stubborn! It was a great day, and we were glad to be there to celebrate with Amber.
